rebeccadonaldsonsgirlfriend: (1) Reason for my “hiatus”I can’t even remember if there was a clear reason for why I stopped coming on here as much (other than slight lack of interest), but one reason I definitely am not super eager to come back is ALL the discourse on here. No, I don’t think “discourse” is all bad, but I prefer calling talking/debating/what have you about important topics/problems “discussions” rather than “discourse”. I’m using “discourse” (or Discourse™️) to refer to posts on here where people complain about minuscule things. And one post complaining about seemingly trivial stuff is fine, w/e, it’s your blog, do what you want. But I really don’t need to see 5+ posts/hot takes on *insert minuscule thing here* and see the 10+ posts/hot takes people will reblog in addition to their own post(s). So if and when I come back, I’m ‘gonna try to stay out of the Discourse™️ and keep it off my blog. The only sort of stuff I’ll consider reblogging is issues that are important to me and (some) politics, but, again, that pretty much relates to issues that are important to me. Just wanted to let y’all know and I hope y’all have been doing alright. 💛
